Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

So, the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation may have won over my heart just a tiny bit.
Okay, maybe a lot.

First and foremost, let me tell you now that I am very fussy and/or/possibly a bit of a snob when it comes to foundation. I find that out of all the products I may put on my skin, foundation is the one thing that - if I've gotten it slightly wrong - will break my skin out to the high heavens.
Now, my skin isn't exactly the best in terms of clear-ness, and the occasional blemish is always visible, so I do like my foundation to have decent coverage. But at the same time, if it's too thick and feels cakey on my skin before I've even layered on the concealer etc., then it's an instant no-no.

On first pump, this foundation is pretty 'watery' in the sense that it's quite thin, and will definitely drip off of the back of your hand if you fling it about rigorously enough (if that's how you like to do your makeup!). I instantly thought that there was no way this would cover my (rather extensive) collection of blemishes being that thin. Boy oh boy was I wrong. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not called 'weightless' for no reason, as when applied, it feels like I literally have nothing at all on my skin - not to mention the appearance of all my redness and blemishes is reduced significantly. I'm baffled as to how a foundation can be so light, but still have such great coverage! The finish is described as 'demi-matte' and I totally agree, it's almost like a second, airbrushed, flawless skin has perched itself on top of my not-so-flawless face, and I love it.

I'm completely and utterly bowled over by this foundation. I really do recommend going to an Urban Decay counter and getting colour matched, as the colour range is impressively large. My skin tone is fairly neutral and I use the colour 3.5, which is perfect if you're not the palest, but not quite olive-y or tanned either. I've also heard nothing but good things about the Naked Skin concealer, and although I've not yet tried it, if the foundation is anything to go by then Urban Decay have hit the nail right on the head with this range!

If you've tried this foundation or the concealer to accompany it, do leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!

January Favourites 2016

Err, excuse me, as if January is over already?! Not cool. As you may be aware, I'm dabbling in the art of YouTube at the moment, and thought I'd do that thing that most people do when it nears the end of the month - a monthly favourites video.

This is really quite haphazard in a hair-scraggy-uppy, 'I have no idea what I'm saying but I'm gonna do it anyway' sort of way, but I still hope you enjoy it if you do decide to watch! The products I mention are as follows:
Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume
Random Mandalas Colouring Book I found in WHSmith haha!
Johanna Basford Enchanted Forest Colouring Book
Colour Therapy by Hannah Sykes
Avon Sleep Serenity Pillow Spray
Real Techniques Bold Metals 103 Brush
Urban Decay Brow Beater in Neutral Brown
Bombay Hair 5in1 Curling Iron

Please let me know if you enjoyed this video, cos I'm really enjoying making them! Feel free to give it a little thumbs up, and don't forget to subscribe if you have a channel yourself! Let's be YouTube friends :)
